2024-2025 Season

Welcome to the 2024-25 Season!!

ALL PLAYERS: Per the MN Hockey Participation policy a player can play where they live OR with the association of their school enrollment, should it differ from the residence. For school enrollment-based registration however, parents MUST request a waiver from their home residence association BEFORE completing their registration with the school enrollment-based program. This is a one-time requirement and does not need to be completed each year.

Please visit the MN Hockey Website - Youth Rules and Regulations (pages 2 & 3 of link) for complete details on the 'Participation Rule'.

USA Hockey Registration: ALL FAMILIES will register first with USA Hockey. Online Registration will be a 2-part process and DAYHA will be directing all registrants to USA Hockey's registration page to first complete and pay the USA/MN Hockey registration portion, then back to the DAYHA site for completion.

USA Hockey Online registration for the 2024-25 season is available now. Please enter your player's legal name and correct date of birth. Do NOT enter parents information here.

 For USA Hockey online registration:

  1.  Go to the USA Hockey Website.
  2.  Choose member type: Ice Player for your child, Coach if you are planning on coaching in the 2024-2025 season and Volunteer if you are a Board member, committee members, team managers and the same sex parent of the player who will be completing the locker room duty requirements .
  3.  You must be 18 years of age to process a registration. Check the box that acknowledges that YOU are 18 or older.
  4.  Select the correct season: 2024-2025
  5.  Follow the prompts...fill in all data correctly.
  6.  Process payment – Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express (credit or debit card). A Visa gift card will also work.
  7.  You may print your Confirmation page at this time. It will also be emailed to you immediately after the registration is completed. You will need this information further in the registration process.

  • Once you have registered all players with USA Hockey, and the appropriate family member, and have your confirmation pages, please return to this site to log in and register with DAYHA.
  • Errors in the USA Registration process such as not obtaining a separate USA Hockey number for each player and parent volunteer/coach will result in delays of your player being able to participate in on-ice activities.
  • Each same sex parent who will be completing the locker room duties (8U/Mite levels and above), as well as coaches, committee members and board members are required to complete SafeSport certification on a yearly basis. These same individuals are also required to complete a background check every two years.
  • Please note that the volunteer deposit check (required for 8U/Mite levels and above), completed background screening (every 2 years) and SafeSport Certification must be completed before tryouts for all travel levels and before jersey handouts for the mite/8U levels.
  • It would be helpful to our volunteers if each family would register their oldest player first.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or PayPal account information available.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a field in the shopping cart page for “discount code”- Delano Area Youth Hockey Association is not offering any discounts for this registration season.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

DAYHA and the Delano Area Sports Arena (DASA) are both non-profit, volunteer run organizations. The success of both organizations is critical to provide a viable youth hockey program in the Delano & Rockford school districts. Neither organization can function without your volunteer help!

In some instances there are specific opportunities to assist which may line up directly with your specific skill set. Please reach out to the volunteer coordinator to learn of such opportunities which may go above and beyond the minimum requirements.

Volunteer Hour Requirements:  (Note: volunteer hours are subject to change and if so, communication to the Association will be provided.)

Many opportunities will be communicated throughout the season. Frequently check the Volunteer page on datigers.com
